Sometimes we go all the way to Orem without talking, just looking out the windows enjoying the music, or just comfortable silence between us. That was NOT the case going down to Vegas, we talked and talked and talked!! Let me tell you my hubbie is NOT a talker! (Well..thats debatable...) but we talked the whole way down about this and that. It was so fun to just talk to my Jed without any interruptions!!
We got there in good time, about 1:00pm. Everything was so new to me and so fun!! There were all these buildings I wanted to go into and see. So we went and checked into our hotel, which was nice except for the fact it had mirrors all the way along the wall and bathroom...so we unpacked and put our things away. Then I realized that I didn't bring a purse!? LOL So we went to Walmart to get a purse so we didn't look like freaks carrying around our camera, cell phone wallet, chapstick,sunglasses in our hands. Then we went to Olive Garden to eat dinner( I know, I know...not really steping out of the comfort zone!!! -BY THE WAY...THEY ARE BUILDING AN OLIVE GARDEN HERE IN AMERICAN FORK !! That made me SOO happy!! )
So then by the time we did that, it was getting dusk, and when we went back to our hotel, it was crazy. All the lights were on and people were OUT having fun!! We went to MSG- they had these cool lions in there and you could stand underneath them which was fun. We saw the cafe they had in there, wishing we would of eaten THERE instead ....but was decorated really fun. I thought of Jocelyn and Bridger, they would of loved going there.
Then we went to Planet Hollywood which was fun, we went and saw all the stores inside the hotels. It was midnight by the time Jed and I were getting tired of walking....when this couple came up to us and GAVE US some Gordi Brown tickets. They had to leave and weren't going to be able to use them. SO we got to go!! He is a comedian, it was so funny, he did a lot of impressions of celebrities, and lots of songs. Jed I think had the most fun, he just kept laughing!! So after that we decided to go back to the hotel. But as we were calling it a night, Vegas was just waking up!! People were coming out going to clubs!! We saw this really cool club that was blue-well it made everyone look blue- it looked like it would be so fun....But I turned to Jed and I said...I'm exhausted!! He's like..ME TOO!! Lets go back and sleep!! LOL
The Next day we spent going to all the hotels, there are so many beautiful hotels, we went and saw the wax museum, I wanted to go inside, but Jed didn't want too!! But outside they had Joan Rivers, and Whoppie which of course we took pictures next too!! We went to the M&M factory, the Coke Factory, saw the water show. Then that night we met up with our friends Riley and Nicole!! It was so fun to hang out with them there!!
We went to dinner with them, I can't remember the place we went to eat!? Nicole?? But it was a really great buffet, it had lots of different things to eat. Then we went and got to see the "lazer Show" It was so cool the street we are on above it has this tunnel looking thing. Freemont street- the whole thing lights up and plays different things. All the lights go off, everyone on the street stops, and everything stands still for a few mints. It was amazing to see!!
Then Sunday, we woke up late...of course, then packed, checked out, and went to eat our last breakfast in Las Vegas. Then started the trip back home. It was amazing, and I totally loved it.
Its hard because there are so many things I would love to take my kids too and go back. BUT I don't know if I would ever take my kids down there, so many great things down there, but to many things that I think my Jocelyn would notice now.
Now the reason I don't have any pictures up here of VEGAS- is because we went to Chilies when we came back, left the camera there and when we came back to get it, it was gone. It has not been returned, so 268 pictures are gone. The ONLY picture I have is the one posted up there from my friend Nicole! I'm so sad!! That was really hard to digest!! But I have the memories and it will be one of those things that Jed and I will have.
If you haven't gone to Vegas you GOTTA go!! At least once!! I would love to go back and watch the David Copperfield show!! Maybe next year?!

so glad you had fun, but that is awful about loosing your camera! I can't believe some people who would just take something like that. Stealing memories is definately going too far.
Hey! I'm pretty sure it was the MGM you went to (not the MSG...LOL!) And, be glad you didn't eat at the rainforest cafe in there, although it's decorated really cute, we've never had good luck with food there. I loved hanging out with you guys down there!!!
